

The top echelons of the Philippine National Police underwent a revamp on Monday, May 8.
PNP chief PGen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. named PLtGen. Michael John Dubria as the new deputy chief for operations of the national police force.
Dubria replaces PMGen Jonnel Estomo, who now serves as director of the Directorate for Plans.
PMGen. Bernard Banac, who formerly headed the Directorate for Plans, takes the helm of the Directorate for Information and Communications Technology Management.
Banac succeeds PMGen. Valeriano De Leon, who reached the mandatory age of retirement last May 7.
Meanwhile, PMGen. Emmanuel Peralta left the Directorate for Operations in order to serve as head of the Directorial Staff, the previous post of Dubria.
PBGen. Leo Francisco steps down as regional director of the Western Visayas Police Regional Office, and will serve as the new head of the Directorate for Operations.
