Prior to President Marcos' State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 24, the Philippine National Police (PNP) had not been monitoring any security threats.
PNP Chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. stated that no communist or terrorist threats had been received.
He stated that police have held multiple discussions in preparation for the SONA.
Acorda stated the number of police officers deployed for the SONA will increase based on intelligence inputs gathered by the police.
Workers would rejoice, according to Sonny Matula, chairman of labor group Nagkaisa, if Marcos included the authorized wage hike on his list of priority bills.
