The Philippine National Police (PNP) assured on Monday, Nov. 20, that the peace and security situation in the country has improved.
PNP Chief PGen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. said that national police force observed that the total crime volume from April 24 to November 15, 2023 decreased by 9.1 percent from the same period last year.
"Ang binaba is around 11,000. From 121,823, bumaba tayo ngayon ng 110,766," Acorda said during DZRH's Magandang Umaga Pilipinas.
Acorda also said that the crime solution efficiency of the PNP climbed up from 69 percent 82.1 percent.
"Ibig sabihin mas maganda yung pag-respond at pag-address ng ating mga pulis sa mga krimen na naganap," the PNP chief explained.
"Kapag may nangyaring krimen ay talagang nahuhuli, may na-file na kaso yung ating mga kasama," he added.
