The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported a 28.6 percent drop in focus crimes, which include murder, homicide, physical injury, rape, theft, and robbery, from January 1 to January 30, 2024.

PCol. Jean Fajardo said on Wednesday, January 31, that the PNP recorded a total number of 2,301 focus crimes during the said period.

From January 1 to January 30, 2023, the PNP logged 3,224 focus crimes.

"Mababa ang krimen natin at iyon yung nagbibigay ng motivation sa ating mga pulis para mas lalo nilang pag-igihin yung kanilang trabaho," Fajardo said during a press briefing in Camp Crame.
