The Philippine National Police (PNP) has downgraded its alert status from 'Full Alert' to 'Heightened Alert' following the conclusion of the 2025 National and Local Elections (NLE).

In a press briefing at Camp Crame on Wednesday, PNP Public Information Chief PCol. Randulf Tuaño stated that 98.70 percent of the election paraphernalia had already been returned or were no longer in use.

PNP Chief PGen. Rommel Francisco Marbil reportedly ordered the lowering of the alert level to refocus the personnel's attention on non-election-related tasks.

However, the National Capital Region (NCR) will remain under full police deployment due to the ongoing nationwide vote canvassing.

Throughout the election period since January, there have been a total of 169 election-related incidents, with 49 confirmed to be directly linked to the elections, and a recorded 13 fatalities.
