To cater to the needs of its members who will be on election duty for the synchronized Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE), the Philippine National Police (PNP) has introduced an online training portal.
Known as the Police Open Academy (POA) Portal, this platform can be accessed at https://www.policeopenacademy.pnp.gov.ph starting from August 29.
According to Police Brigadier General Red Maranan, the Chief of the PNP Public Information Office, this online training holds significant value in preparing the reactionary standby support force (RSSF) and other PNP personnel for their roles during the forthcoming elections.
He emphasized that this initiative represents an "innovative approach" to continuous training and the enhancement of their personnel's capabilities.
Meanwhile, PNP Chief Police General Benjamin Acorda Jr. highlighted how the utilization of modern technology ensures the highest level of professionalism and true change and innovation within the organization.
“The success of the 2023 Synchronized BSKE Training is a collective effort. Each participant’s commitment to the program will contribute to a more efficient and secure electoral process,” he said.
The active participation of participants in the online training program was underscored by the PNP chief as pivotal in ensuring the success of the upcoming BSKE.
