The Philippine National Police (PNP) will implement a gun ban for the separate inauguration ceremony of President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in Manila and Vice President-elect Sara Duterte in Davao City.
In a press conference, Police Major General Valeriano de Leon, PNP Director for Operations, said the gun ban in Davao City will take effect from June 16 to 21 for Duterte's inauguration at the San Pedro Square on June 19.
In Manila, the gun ban will be implemented from June 27 to July 2 ahead of the oath-taking ceremony of Marcos on June 30 at the National Museum.
De Leon also urged supporters who will attend the inauguration ceremonies to bring small and transparent bags for their essentials.
Meanwhile, outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte is confirmed to attend the inauguration of his daughter.
