Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief PGen. Rommel Francisco Marbil reiterated that the force will strictly uphold the 'No Tolerance for Cover-Ups' policy, in line with their ongoing commitment to rooting out corruption and misconduct within the ranks.
Marbil underscored the obligation of unit commanders to ensure the accuracy and integrity of reports, especially in incidents involving casualties or injuries among police officers.
He also stressed the importance of leadership integrity in upholding the trust of the public.
Moreover, he called for strict accountability, saying those in command who are found to have shielded their men from responsibility must be held liable. He underscored that there should be no room for gray areas when it comes to the truth.
The police official noted that this is part of broader reform efforts within the PNP, driven by professionalism and the national development agenda.
Moving forward, Marbil urged all members of the organization to maintain a strong commitment to integrity and transparency in carrying out their responsibilities.
