The Philippine National Police (PNP) of Police Regional Office 5 confirmed the visit of Vice President Sara Duterte to the Bicol region on September 21.
In a memorandum dated September 24, the police office reported that Duterte arrived at Bicol International Airport in Daraga, Albay (BIA) on September 20 via Philippine Airlines flight PR 2921, before proceeding to Naga City.
"At around 10:52 AM on the same day, the VIP and party arrived at the Archbishop’s Palace for a courtesy visit to Most Rev. Archbishop Rex Andrew Alarcon. Thereafter, they proceeded to Mayflower Street, Concepcion, Pequeña, Naga City, for lunch with former Vice President Maria Leonor Robredo."
"At around 3:17 PM, the VIP and party arrived at Graceland, Magsaysay Avenue, Barangay Balatas, Naga City, for refreshments. Afterward, they visited Naga Cathedral."
"At approximately 7:48 PM, the VIP and party headed to La Herencia Hotel Comida, Milaor, Camarines Sur, for dinner. They then proceeded to Formosa Hotel, Barangay Lag-on, Daet, Camarines Norte, to rest overnight."
"At around 7:00 AM on September 21, 2024, the VIP and party arrived at Palencia Private Docking Port, Sitio Longpond, Barangay Calangcawan Norte, Vinzons, Camarines Norte. Upon arrival, they proceeded to I Love Calaguas Resort, Mahabang Buhangin, Barangay Mangcawayan, Calaguas Island, for rest."
On Tuesday, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) denied circulating photos on social media alleging that she was in Calaguas Island while skipping the House plenary deliberations on her office’s budget on September 23.
The Vice President was reportedly in Calaguas Island from September 21 to 22 and left on September 23.
Meanwhile, the OVP said it condemns fake news and media releases for "clickbait" and "profit."
