PITX passengers rise this Undas season 2023 - spox
by Ellicia Del Mundo29 October 2023

The number of passengers in the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) spiked this Undas 2023 as compared to the pre-pandemic, PITX spokesperson Jason Salvador said on Sunday, Oct. 29.

Hamak na mas malaki na ngayon,” he said during DZRH’s Huntahan.

The PITX spokesperson said they also anticipate that the number of passenger would remain high after the 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) on Monday, Oct. 30.

"We expect it to be high, but we don't expect it to be that high. Kasi na-spread out na, nabawasan na. Unlike dati, kung Undas lang talaga ang iuuwi nila, sabay-sabay talaga," he said.

Salvador noted that the situation in the PITX terminals remains under control as of Sunday morning.

Compared kahapon, mas manageable naman 'to. Sa tingin natin the whole afternoon ganito na rin ang mararanasan natin,” he said.

The PITX spokesperson said the passengers count reached 160,000 on Saturday, Oct. 28.

Earlier, Salvador said that there would be an estimated 1.6 million commuters who will travel in their respective provinces to vote in the BSKE and observe Undas or All Saint’s Day and All Soul’s Day.
