Transport group PISTON will once again carry out a transport strike starting from December 14 to December 15.
The decision was made following the approaching Public Utility (PUV) Modernization Consolidation deadline on December 31.
In a briefing, PISTON national president Modi Floranda said there is a possibility to extend the two-day transport strike.

Last week, the transport group protested in Congress to dismiss the set deadline.
Meanwhile, the Department of Transportation remained firm on the December 31 deadline. But it clarified that the "road-worthy" traditional jeepneys are still allowed to operate even after the consolidation deadline.
