The Philippine Science High School System proudly commended a PSHS Main Campus student for bagging a gold medal in the 2023 World Mathematics Invitational Final Round held in South Korea on July 14 to 18.

Darren Angelo Uy, a grade 8 student, brought pride to his alma mater by acquiring himself as a math wizard in the said competition.

The PSHS - System took pride in Uy's achievement through a Facebook post.

"Husay Pisay Scholar: Math Wizard. We are proud of you," it said.

Meanwhile, Uy competed with other students from the United States, China, Thailand, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

He is among the 139 students who represented the Philippines in the 2023 WMI.
