Filipinos once again rule the World Cup of Pool.

James Aranas and Johann Chua raised the fourth World Cup of Pool trophy of the Philippines after defeating German pair Joshua Filler, and Moritz Neuhausen, 11-7, on Sunday, July 2, in Lugo Spain.

The Filipino pair started their campaign in the 2023 World Cup of Pool by winning against the defending champions, Francisco Sanchez Ruiz and David Alcaide of Spain, 7-5.

Aranas and Chua also seized victories against Jonas Souto Comino, and Jose Alberto Delgado of Spain (7-2); Ko Pin-yi , and Ko Ping-Chung (9-8); and Albin Ouschan, and Mario He of Austria (9-8) to enter the finals of the tournament.

Filipino billiards legends Efren 'Bata' Reyes, and Francisco Django Bustamante won the maiden World Cup of Pool in 2006, as well as the 2009 edition of the tournament.

Filipino pair Dennis Orcollo and Lee Van Corteza snagged the third World Cup of Pool trophy of the Philippines in 2013.
