Aiza Maizo-Pontillas registered 27 points, and Shaya Adorador chipped in 23 markers for the victory of the Filipina spikers.

Anushree Kambrath finished with 25 points while Soorya Soorya added 19 markers for India as the country suffered its first loss in the week-long tournament.

The Philippines will seek to grab another win against Australia on Friday, June 24, and seal their spot in the semifinals of the competition.
