The Piggatan Bridge, located in Alcala, Cagayan, collapsed on Monday afternoon, October 6, rendering the structure impassable to all types of vehicles.

According to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Alcala, the bridge gave way as several trailer trucks were passing over it.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident and to verify whether there were any injuries or casualties.
