Philippines bet Carlos Yulo's jouney for greatness is still on the run now that he have multiple opportunities to clinch an Olympic medal after advancing to the finals in three events under the men's artistic gymnastics catergory at the 2024 Paris Olympics which was held at the Bercy Arena in Paris.
The 24-year old Filipino gymnast showcased strength and dedication which paved the way fow him to be qualified in the floor exercise, vault, and all-around finals.
Yulo snatched the 2nd spot in the floor exercises with a score of 14.766 landing him a spot in the finals.
For vault, he landed on the 6th rank of the tournament, garnering a score of 14.683.
Meanwhile, he scored 13.066 on pommel horse,13.000 on still rings, 14.533 on parallel bars, and 13.466 on the horizontal bar where he achieved a decent landing boosting his confidence in the competition.
Yulo's total scores reached 83.631 at the all-around event, reaching the 9th place, giving him another final contention.
In order to enter the finals, a gymnast must make it to the top 8 for each apparatus. While top 24 gymnasts will then qualify for the all-around finals.
All-around finals will be held on July 31 followed by the floor exercise finals on August 3, and the vault finals on August 4, all in Manila time.
