About 3.27 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines are expected to arrive in two batches in the Philippines on Thursday, June 10, the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 said Wednesday.

This is the largest number of doses to arrive in the country in a day.

In a statement, the NTF said that of the 3.27 million doses, one million are from the Chinese-firm Sinovac while 2,279,160 million are Pfizer-BioNTech doses donated by the global effort COVAX facility.

The Sinovac doses are expected to arrive at 7:30 AM while the Pfizer-BioNTech doses are due at 9:00 PM.

So far, the country has inoculated around six million Filipinos. Of which, 1,604,260 individuals have been fully vaccinated or have received the second dose.

Those who already received one dose include priority groups A1 (healthcare workers), A2 (senior citizens), A3 (persons with comorbidities), and A4 (economic frontliners).

With the arrival of the jabs, Galvez said the country's vaccine supply will start normalizing by June 14.

On Monday, the government has started vaccinating the A4 priority group which is composed of 35 million individuals.
