The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) is all set for the Traslacion on January 9, in observance of the Feast of Jesus Nazareno.
According to PRC Chairman Richard "Dick" Gordon, the Philippine Red Cross will start its deployment on Tuesday, January 7, to assist with the “Pahalik” or “Pagpupugay” event for Jesus Nazareno at the Quirino Grandstand.
As part of its preparations, the Philippine Red Cross will set up two of its 17 first aid stations at the site, with additional stations placed along the Traslacion's route.
Previously, PRC mentioned that 1,138 personnel and volunteers from Metro Manila and Rizal chapters will be deployed to support the Nazareno 2025 operations.
To ensure full preparedness, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has mobilized 18 ambulances, with 20 more on standby. The organization also deployed 12 scooters, 2 rescue boats, 2 trucks, and various service vehicles.
An emergency field hospital will be established by the Philippine Red Cross, which will have a 6-bed emergency room and a 50-bed ward to accommodate serious or critical patients.
During last year's Traslacion, the Philippine Red Cross recorded seven major cases, 34 patients transported to hospitals, 214 minor cases, 257 instances of vital signs monitoring, and 214 cases of welfare assistance were provided.
