Following recent events in South Korea, the Philippine Embassy in Seoul advised all Filipinos in the country to remain calm amid the significant developments.

In an official statement on Wednesday, the embassy advised Filipinos to follow the instructions issued by South Korean authorities.

The Philippine Embassy also assured that it will continue to provide updates and advisories regarding the situation in South Korea.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Embassy announced that its office will be open for regular operations.

On Tuesday, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol declared martial law in a surprise late-night TV address, criticizing domestic political opponents.

The President then pledged to remove the shameless pro-North Korean anti-state forces and emphasized that declaring martial law was necessary to protect constitutional order.

Yoon's government already lifted the martial law early Wednesday.
