The Philippines secures its first gold medal at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia, thanks to Kaila Napolis' championship win in the women's jiu-jitsu NE-waza nogi -52kg event.
Napolis defeated Cambodia's Jessa Khan in the finals with a score of 2-0, exacting sweet revenge for her loss to Khan in the 2019 World Martial Arts Mastership Games.
With Angel Gwen Derla's gold medal in the Kun Bokator - Women's Single Bamboo Shield Form event, the Philippines now has two gold medals, two silvers, and three bronzes in total.
