Despite the Gilas' loss in their first game, the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 started with a bang as it set a remarkable attendance record on its opening day.

An incredible 38,115 fans packed the Philippine Arena to watch the Philippines take on the Dominican Republic in a Group A match.
