The Philippines recorded another 360 new COVID-19 cases, according to the Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
Based on DOH's COVID-19 tracker, active cases increased by 118 to 4,898, the highest tally in 95 reporting days since July 23's 5,121 active cases.
The number of cases recovered increased by 242 to 4,058,978. But the death toll remained at 66,795.

The National Capital Region recorded 1,946 new COVID-19 cases in the previous 14 days, higher than any other region. Calabarzon had 751 COVID-19 cases, Western Visayas with 475, Central Luzon with 329, and Central Visayas with 138.
Meanwhile, Quezon City recorded the most number of new COVID-19 cases, with 549. Rizal province came in second with 241, Makati City with 204, Cavite province with 203, and Iloilo province with 201.

The COVID-19 bed occupancy rate is 15.9% with 2,953 beds occupied, including 1,861 in the Intensive care unit, and 15,565 unoccupied.
