MANILA – The Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv advised the public to postpone “indefinitely” all “non-essential travel” from the Philippines to Israel due to continuing risks in the region.
In its travel advisory reposted in its social media accounts, the Embassy strongly reiterates its call for all non-essential travel to Israel be postponed, including pilgrimages and other turs to Israel.
The call also includes travelling to Israel to render “volunteer work” which is highly discouraged because of the ongoing war between Israel and the Hamas in Gaza and in surrounding areas in the region.
The Embassy reminded the public that “it will not be responsible for the safety of those of travel as tourists or volunteers at this time.”

The public is also advised to exercise caution and not to fall for any schemes by individuals, organizations, companies or tour companies organizing tours or pilgrimages to Israel at this time or encouraging volunteers to work in farms or hospitals, the advisory stated.
According to the advisory, the Philippine Bureau of Immigration has already been already about the mentioned schemes, therefore, any persons who attempt to travel to Israel under such arrangements run the risk of getting offloaded from their flights.
Meanwhile, the Embassy urges all Filipino citizens to prioritize their safety and security and to heed the advisory until further notice.
