Two Filipino weightlifters have bagged a total of three gold medals during the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) World Youth Championships at Ramazan Njala Sports Complex in Durres, Albania.
This was after Albert Ian Delos Santos dominated the men's 61 kg division in the Snatch category (110 kgs) and Clean and Jerk category (149 kgs) which he secured two golds.
Meanwhile, the 17-year-old weightlifter Angeline Colonia grabbed the Philippines' third medal in the women's 45 kg class with a total of 155 kgs score.
These succeeded the first three golds won by two other Filipino weightlifters Prince Delos Santos, two golds, and Eros Borres, one gold, in the same World Youth Championships.
