The Philippine obstacle course racing (OCR) team made history once again by sweeping the team relay events at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games held at the OCIC Wedding Center on Sunday.
The day started with the women's team composed of Sandi Menchi Abahan, Mecca Cortizano, Milky Mae Tejares, and Maritess Nocyao dominating Indonesia and clinching the gold medal with an impressive time of 33.73 seconds.
Not to be outdone, the men's squad of Ahgie Radan, Elias Tabac, Mervin Guarte, and Jay-ar De Castro showed their strength and skill by beating Malaysia and earning another gold medal for the Philippines with a blazing time of 24.47 seconds, securing the fourth gold for the country at the OCR event.
Adding to the team's already impressive medal haul were two gold medals in the individual events on Saturday, won by Precious Cabuya and Jaymark Rodelas.
