Heads up, theater junkies and Popoy and Basha's fanatics! Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) has announced that Star Cinema's classic hit film "One More Chance" will be staged into a musical!
In a Facebook post, PETA said the music will be played by no other than Original Pilipino Music (OPM) nine-piece folk band, Ben&Ben.
"Natapos man ang lovestory ni ๐๐๐ง๐ฒ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐ญ ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ข๐, simula naman ng kwento nina ๐๐จ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฒ ๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ก๐ ๐ณ Kamay sa dibdib, mga mangingibigs! WALANG AARAY โค๏ธ๐ฉน dahil muli tayong IIBIG ๐ซถ sa susunod na handog ng PETA... ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐," it captioned.
"One More Chance" The Musical featuring the music of Ben&Ben will be on theater stage in 2024.
The exact dates of the shows have yet to be disclosed.
"Stay tuned for #PETAOneMoreChance with #BenAndBen! Coming this 2024!" it said.
"One More Chance" is a romantic drama film released in November 2007, starring former ABS-CBN talents Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz who portrayed the iconic roles of Basha and Popoy, respectively.
The film was written by Vanessa Valdez, directed by renowned director Cathy Garcia-Molina, and produced by ABS-CBN leaders, Charo Santos-Concio and Malou Santos.
Eight years after the box office success of "One More Chance", Star Cinema dropped the sequel titled "A Second Chance".
