Authorities seized approximately ₱6.8 million worth of drugs from a high-value individual in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sabang, Naga City last Friday, May 19.
In a statement from the Naga City Police Office, the suspect was identified as John Joseph Yukim, a 34-year-old resident of Looban 6, Zone 4, Bayawas, Abella, Naga City,
The joint buy-bust operation was carried out by ODRDO-RPDEU5 Team Naga/Camarines Sur, Naga City Drug Enforcement Unit, and Naga City Police Station 1 in cooperation with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Camarines Sur Provincial Office.
According to Naga Police, at around 7:05 am, an undercover police officer bought a packet of drugs that weighs about 100g for ₱260,000 from the suspect.
After the getting busted, police conducted a body search on the suspect, and found 900g more.
One kilogram of drugs was seized in total, with an estimated worth ₱6,800,000.
The suspect is currently under the custody of Naga City Police Station 1, and will be facing violation against RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2000.
