Philippine Esports Organization (PeSO), the governing body for esports in the Philippines, celebrated the official inauguration of its new headquarters with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The event, attended by esteemed guests and board members, marked a momentous milestone in PeSO's efforts to support and advance the local esports industry.
The ceremony commenced with a solemn blessing by a priest, followed by a comprehensive tour of the headquarters.
As part of the occasion, PeSO unveiled the Championship Wall, a captivating mural paying tribute to the dedication and passion of Sibol players since 2019.
Situated at the Launchpad in Mandaluyong City, the new facility will serve as a central hub to strengthen PeSO's collaboration with its members, facilitate partnerships, and enhance the operations of Team Sibol, the national esports team representing the Philippines in international competitions.
Additionally, PeSO took the opportunity to announce the upcoming launch of its membership plans in the third quarter of 2023.
Interested organizations and individuals were invited to join and contribute to the growth and development of the National Sports Authority for esports in the Philippines.
The membership portal, accessible through PeSO's website, will provide a platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and networking within the thriving esports community.
"The opening of our new headquarters is proof of the tremendous progress we have made, not just as an organization but Philippine esports as well. We look forward to using this new space to keep growing and winning the esports world for the Philippines," Executive Director of PeSO Marlon Marcelo said expressing his enthusiasm for the new headquarters.
