The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has taken into custody the boyfriend who has been identified as a person of interest in the murder of Dr. Rajean Romualdez in Naga City.

According to PBGen. Andre Dizon, the suspect, a 34-year-old man, was apprehended in the province of Sorsogon on Wednesday, February 19.

Authorities claim that he was the last person seen with Dr. Romualdez inside her vehicle before she was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head on Sunday.

The suspect is currently being transported back to Naga City for further investigation, as authorities continue their efforts to seek justice for the slain doctor.
