

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) announced the seizure of ₱272 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, in a buy-bust operation conducted in Rizal.
On March 19, joint operatives from the PDEA conducted an operation in Rizal Cement Village, Barangay Pantok, Binangonan, Rizal, leading to the seizure of 40 black foil packs containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, with an estimated weight of 40 kilograms.
Additionally, one drug suspect, identified by the alias 'Ronald,' was arrested and will face charges under Section 5 (Sale of Illegal Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Illegal Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Isagani Nerez acknowledged the efforts of the drug law enforcement units for their successful execution of the high-impact operation.
"Operation of this magnitude dealt a major blow to the supply chain of illegal drugs in the streets. There are more to come”, said Nerez.
