The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Monday, January 29, falsified former president Rodrigo Roa Duterte's allegation, saying that President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. was not included in its drug watch list.

"The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) categorically states that President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr is not on its watch list, contrary to the statement of former President Rodrigo Duterte," it said in a one-page statement released to the media.

According to the agency, Marcos "was never" in the National Drug Information System (NDIS), the intelligence database of all drug personalities and gathering input, since it was established back in July 2002.

PDEA also said that the Chief Executive was also not in the "narco list" — a list created when Duterte sat in office in 2016 and now known as the Inter-Agency Drug Information Database.

"Based on all the foregoing facts, the PDEA asserts that President Marcos Jr. Is not and was never on its watch list," it ended.

On Sunday, January 28, Duterte accused Marcos as a drug addict, citing that the latter was part of PDEA’s drug watch list and he knew this for a long time.

He alleged that the president’s drugs came from his wife, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and cousin, House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

The Presidential Communications Office reposted PDEA's press statement denying Marcos' inclusion in the drug watch list.
