The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) extended a heartwarming gesture to the residents of Barangay 157 Bagong Barrio East by organizing a Medical and Dental Mission on Valentine's Day.
Led by Dra. Juliet E. Diaz, Medical Officer V of the Medical Services Department (MSD), the event aimed to provide free healthcare services to the community.
Teaming up with various government agencies such as the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and the local government of Caloocan, PCSO offered a range of public services including free livelihood programs and affordable medication from Generika Drugstore.
Additionally, residents were treated to complimentary haircuts and massages.
In recognition of PCSO's exceptional contribution to the health caravan, the barangay presented the agency with a plaque of appreciation.
A total of 158 patients received medical consultations, 53 underwent dental check-ups including tooth extractions, and 15 patients underwent electrocardiograms (ECG) during the activity.
This initiative by PCSO is part of the agency's commitment to assist the underprivileged and sick members of society, aligning with the directive of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. (PBBM) to prioritize the health of every Filipino.
