Resign all.

Following the announcement of Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Acting Secretary Dave Gomez to PCO’s appointed officials to tender their courtesy resignation on Wednesday July 14, 2025, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro is amongst them and has already filed her resignation.

Recalling her appointment, Castro was appointed last February as the press officer. Being the press officer, she became a staple face in almost daily briefings at the Palace, serving as an unofficial spokesperson under the Marcos administration.

In the memo, Gomez confirmed that this is part of his process in his transitioning process and his move to uphold transparency. Along with his order to conduct a “performance audit” in his office and give him the free hand to perform his duties and responsibilities.

Meanwhile, until Gomez addresses the submitted courtesy resignations, the current situation will continue unchanged.
