Film director Paul Soriano has resigned as Presidential Adviser on Creative Communications “to prioritize his personal commitments”, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) confirmed on Thursday, Nov. 10.
“Presidential Adviser Paul Soriano took a well-deserved break to spend time with his family and newborn daughter. He has since submitted his resignation to prioritize his personal commitments,” it said in an official statement.
PCO mentioned that there are no appointees to fill the vacant position at the moment.
“There is no replacement for the role of Presidential Adviser on Creative Communications for now,” the communications office said.
Senator Sonny Angara first revealed that Soriano is no longer working in the Department of Tourism (DOT).
It can be recalled that the film director took a leave of absence from his duty as presidential adviser on creative communications in July this year.
In October 2022, Soriano was appointed by President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr., who he and his wife Toni Gonzaga endorsed in the 2022 National and Local Elections.
