

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) announced that its official X (formerly Twitter) account was successfully restored on Thursday, February 15.
In a brief statement, PCG said its X Support Team assisted the retrieval of the account and that they already implemented heightened security measures.
"As of 11:30 AM, we are glad to announce that we have retrieved access to our official X account with assistance from the X Support Team. We have also strengthened our security measures to protect our account against security breaches," it said.

PCG's X account was hacked on early morning of Thursday.
Its profile photo and header were removed and most of the like posts were from a profile named SatoshiVM.
