The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Monday announced that it "shifted" to the search and rescue (SAR) operation for the four passengers of the submerged yacht in Tubbataha Reef, Cagay in Palawan, who are still missing up to date.
In an advisory posted on Facebook, PCG said they have started the search for the owner of the M/Y Dream Keeper, two passengers, and one dive master.
"The directive took effect yesterday, 07 May 2023," it said.
"The PCG District Palawan shall assist the contracted salvor in conducting the retrieval operation," the Coast Guard added.
The dive yacht submerged within the waters of Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park in Palawan on the morning of April 30.
A total of 28 individuals were rescued, and 11 of them have safely returned to Manila with the help of Western Command Armed Forces of the Philippines (Wescom).
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the incident as of this writing.
