The search and rescue (SAR) team has retrieved a pillow owned by the patient onboard the missing medical helicopter in Palawan, according to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
In its latest update, PCG said the SAR team found the dilapidated rainbow-colored pillow approximately 13.64 nautical miles from Balabac, Palawan.
The patient's uncle positively confirmed that it was owned by the latter, the Coast Guard said.
Earlier, PCG reported that it found the debris fragments suspected to be part of the missing air ambulance.
According to PCG District Palawan Commander Capt. Dennis Rem Labay, the team found a floating object that looked like a gas tank used in aircrafts.
On Wednesday, the medical helicopter carrying five people reportedly went missing while on its way to Palawan Provincial Hospital in Brooke's Point.
The five passengers inside the helicopter were identified as pilot Daniel Lui, nurse Janelle Adler, and patient Khayrunniza Hamja. Also inside are two watchers, namely, Surga Hamja and Hji Ja.
