A fire hit a shipping vessel in the vicinity waters off Castilla Anchorage Area, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported on Thursday, November 2.
According to PCG, the incident occurred in the waters of Barangay Poblacion, Castilla, Sorsogon, at around 11 a.m. today.
The vessel was identified as MV Ken, a carrier owned by Pherwin Shipping Corporation located in Milaor, Camarines Sur.
The PCG said it coordinated with the Philippine Navy and Bureau of Fire Protection for joint search and rescue and firefighting operations.
