The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has promoted more than 11,000 of its personnel, the PCG announced on Monday, September 18.
According to PCG, more than 11,000 PCG non-officers have donned and vowed at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila.
Presiding over the donning and oath-taking ceremonies, CG Admiral Artemio Abu highlighted the commitment and hardwork of the personnel to the organization that led them to their promotion.
"Always know that your every finished task, every completed assignment, and mission accomplished, no matter how small or menial these may seem to you, is significant to the organization as a whole, for what is the PCG's success but a collection of small contributions from our tireless men and women serving beyond the call of duty" CG Admiral Artemio Abu stated during his speech.
According to Abu, the promotions of the personnel are not only recognitions of prior outstanding work but also an acknowledgment of their potential to do even better, outdo themselves, and surpass previous successes.
The Coast Guard Commandant extended his congratulations to the personnel for their milestone.
"They are moments that inspire us all. We look forward to witnessing your continued success and contributions to our organizations," he concluded.
