The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) intercepted a vessel suspected of engaging in fuel pilferage in Manila Bay on September 26.

While en route to Bataan to support MTKR Jason Bradley operations, BRP Boracay (FPB-2401) spotted MV Palawan carrying an undetermined quantity of alleged smuggled diesel fuel on board.

According to the initial investigation, the vessel, which had seven crew members on board, was en route to Navotas.

Furthermore, a crew member claimed they obtained the fuel cargo from a tugboat.
