President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. emphasized on Wednesday, Nov. 8, the need to add climate change in national policies.

During his message at the commemoration of Super Typhoon Yolanda’s 10th anniversary, Marcos said that the following typhoons showed what the public should do in the face of climate change.

In a report by RH Leth Narciso, Marcos said there was more to be done in making the country resilient to disasters. Among these were building centralized warning systems, incident command systems, and disaster response strategies.

According to Marcos, creating information and education campaigns to let people know of climate change’s effects could also help.
