President Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr. has ordered the acceleration of efforts to resolve right-of-way issues to fast-track the construction of the Casile–Tagaytay Bypass Road, a project expected to ease congestion along the busy Sta. Rosa–Tagaytay corridor.
According to Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Vince Dizon, the agency is prioritizing the completion of bypass roads nationwide to reduce traffic congestion in key urban routes and stimulate economic activity in surrounding areas.
Dizon made the statement after inspecting the Casile–Tagaytay Road on Monday morning, noting that the bypass project will provide an alternative route for motorists traveling between Cavite and Laguna.
Once completed, the road is expected to significantly shorten travel time for motorists and commuters heading to nearby areas such as Silang, Santa Rosa, Laguna, and Cabuyao, while helping decongest traffic along the popular route to Tagaytay.
