President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on Wednesday joined the country in mourning for the passing of veteran television broadcaster and host Mike Enriquez.
In a brief statement posted on his Twitter page, Marcos said he was saddened by the death of Enriquez, who he regarded as the "pillar" of the Philippine Broadcasting Industry.
"He dedicated his life to delivery unbiased news to the Filipino people," he remarked.
Marcos extended his heartfelt thoughts to Enriquez's family and loved ones.

On Tuesday evening, his home network GMA Network confirmed that the multi-awarded media personality has died at the age of 71.
"The Board of Directors, management, and employees of GMA Network, Inc. deeply mourn the passing of Mr. Enriquez. His dedication to the industry will serve as an inspiration to all. We pray for the eternal repose of our beloved Kapuso," the network said in a statement.
The cause of death was not disclosed.
But it can be recalled that Enriquez took a medical leave to undergo treatment for a kidney disease and bypass surgery in 2018, and he had kidney transplant in 2021.
