President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. might face an impeachment complaint from several congressmen, according to Caloocan City Second District Rep. Edgar "Egay" Erice.

This comes amid reports that Vice President Sara Duterte will also face another impeachment complaint this year as the House of Representatives resumes its session.

“Mukhang exciting ang House sa Pebrero dahil palagay ko hindi lang ang impeachment kay VP Sara ay nauulinigan ko. Meron din mga kongresista na mag-file ng impeachment laban naman kay PBBM. Kaya dalawa, dalawa ang abangan natin,” the lawmaker said during Isyung Pambayan on Sunday.

Erice, however, declined to name the congressmen who are expected to file these complaints.

When asked if he thinks the complaints against Marcos and Duterte will progress, Erice cited the Supreme Court’s ruling that impeachment complaints are first reviewed by the House Committee on Justice to determine if the cases have the proper form and substance.

“May mga pagdinig… hindi ko lang alam kung makakakuha ng sapat na bilang, [o] one-third,” he added.

The one-year bar rule for Vice President Sara Duterte is set to end on February 6.

Erice clarified that he will not endorse either impeachment complaint but intends to ask the Justice Committee questions regarding the allegations.
