President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. extended his congratulations to the accomplished Filipino artists and athletes who have recently triumphed in various international competitions, commending them for their exceptional talents that have once again placed the Philippines on the global stage.

During a meet-and-greet event in the Palace, President Marcos expressed his gratitude for the honor and joy they have brought to the country and encouraged them to continue their remarkable work.

"So keep up the good work guys and I’m sure you enjoy it. Join as many tournaments as you can. Then that nervousness that comes before you go on the pitch will slowly dissipate and will start looking forward to it," he said.

In his address, President Marcos emphasized the significant role of these artists and athletes in showcasing the rich tradition of Filipino excellence in arts, culture, and sports to the world.

He expressed his belief in the immense potential of the Philippines to produce outstanding players through unwavering dedication, rigorous training, and expert coaching.

"The Philippines and people will remember us once more as this grand culture with such great capacity, with such great potential that you are now showing the rest of the world. Thank you once again for all that you have done," he added.

Among the notable individuals and teams who paid a courtesy visit to the President were Jex Marc De Castro, the winner of the singing category in the Euro Talent Festival 2023 held in London, United Kingdom, where he secured the prestigious Stars of the Albion Grand Prix Title.

In addition, boxers Melvin O. Jerusalem, Charly C. Suarez, and Marlon T. Tapales were recognized for their remarkable victories in international boxing competitions, earning them esteemed titles such as the World Boxing Organization's Mini Flyweight World Title and the International Boxing Organization's World Eliminator.

Furthermore, the Makati Football Club (MFC), a renowned soccer team founded in 1976 with over 1,000 players nationwide, was lauded for their recent triumph in the Junior Soccer School and League (JSSL) Singapore Academy 7s 2023, where they clinched the Paul Parker Overall Championship.

The Philippine Men's National Ice Hockey Team also received commendation for their gold medal win in their debut at the International Ice Hockey Federation's Ice Hockey World Championship Division IV, which elevated the Philippines to Division IIIB in the upcoming season.

President Marcos expressed his profound appreciation for the achievements of these exceptional individuals and teams, recognizing their outstanding contributions in promoting Filipino talent and excellence to the world.
