

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. garnered a high trust and approval ratings in the fourth and last quarter (Q4) of 2023, according to the result of PUBLiCUS Asia Inc.'s latest non-commissioned poll posted on Thursday, Dec. 21.
In a press release posted on its official website, PUBLiCUS Asia Inc. reported that the Pahayag 2023 survey showed that Marcos's ratings went up 3 points —from 55 percent in Q3 to 58 percent in Q4.
The Manila-based political consultancy firm stated that the President gained increased support in North-Central Luzon with 62 percent, North-Central Luzon with 55 percent, and Visayas with 57 percent.
PUBLiCUS Asia Inc. added that the high approval and trust approval was attributed to the social groups: middle-income voters with 60 percent, Catholics with 57 percent, and the self-employed group with 62 percent.
"Identified issues affecting PBBM's performance include inflation, ranking as the most pressing concern at 44%," it said.
However, Vice President Sara Duterte witnessed a fall in her trust and approval ratings — from 62 percent in Q3 to 59 percent in Q3.
"Conversely, Vice President Duterte faced challenges related to the issue of confidential and intelligence funds for the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and Department of Education (DepEd), which she withdrew the request for last November 9, 2023," PUBLiCUS Asia Inc. noted.
Meanwhile, it was also reported that Senator Raffy Tulfo acquired a 71% rating, maintaining his position as the top performer.

- Senator Sherwin Gatchalian - 51 percent
- Senator Mark Villar - 46 percent
- Senator Loren Legarda - 49 percent
- Senate President Juan Miguel 'Migz' Zubiri - 53 percent
- Senator Risa Hontiveros - 49 percent
- Senator Alan Peter Cayetano - 44 percent
- Senator JV Ejercito - 41 percent
- Senator Jinggoy Estrada - 36 percent
PUBLiCUS Asia Inc. surveyed from Nov. 29 to Dec. 4, 2023, with a total of 1,500 respondents who participated.
"The sample was restricted to registered Filipino voters maintained by PureSpectrum, a US-based panel marketplace with a multinational presence," the Manila-based political consultancy firm stated.
