President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered the relevant government agencies to strictly coordinate with the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Migrant Workers Office in Israel to ensure the safety and welfare of Filipinos affected by the outbreak of war in the said country.

According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) on Sunday, Marcos has specifically instructed the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) to locate all overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families in Israel.

The PCO also said that the DMW has also opened phone numbers on Viber and WhatsApp that will receive calls and queries from OFWs and the Filipino community in need of assistance.

Moreover, the President condemned the attack on Israel and extended his condolences to the families of those who were killed in the war.

More than 200 Israelis are reported dead, while many civilians and soldiers are held hostage following the surprise attack by the Palestinian militant group Hamas.
