

In his second State of the Nation Address (SONA), President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. vowed that the Philippine government will continue to preserve its sovereign rights and territorial integrity.
Marcos emphasized the significance of unity and social cohesiveness among the Filipino people in his SONA, promising them that the government would not lose any territory.
"Our journey to progress requires not only unity and social cohesion amongst our people; it is also imperative that our nation remain intact and inviolable, our sovereignty preserved," Marcos said in his speech.
"We will protect our sovereign rights and preserve our territorial integrity in defense of a rules-based international order," he added, referring to an international ruling on the West Philippine Sea.
President Marcos also stated that the Philippine government will continue to pursue continuous conversation and diplomatic solutions to any issue that may arise.
The president highlighted that the government's foreign policy will prioritize the interests of the Philippines and the Filipino people.
