President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. upholds the government's efforts to improve the lives of the people in Negros Oriental by constructing infrastructure projects.
During the distribution of Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk, and Families in Dumaguete City, President Marcos said the government is committed to constructing a new airport, rehabilitating a seaport, and establishing a health facility in the province.
“Dala rin po namin ang mga magagandang balita tungkol sa mga proyekto ng pamahalaan na tiyak na ikasasaya ninyo at pakikinabangan ninyo dito sa Lungsod ng Dumaguete at sa buong Negros Oriental," Marcos said
According to the President, among the major projects is the PhP17.05 billion New Dumaguete Airport Development Project in Bacong, Negros Oriental. It is expected to boost tourism, trade, and the economy in the region.
The President also spoke about the Dumaguete Port Expansion Project's ongoing rehabilitation with the goal of increasing the port's capacity to accommodate more passengers as well as cargo.
Meanwhile, Marcos also noted that the PhP15 million health care project called Dumaguete City Super Family Health Center will help 30 barangays by offering medical services and equipment such as an x-ray machine, pharmacy, and birthing facility.
“Binibigyang-pansin din natin ang kalusugan ng ating mga mamamayan dito sa inyong lugar sa pamamagitan ng ating pagtatag ng Dumaguete City Super Family Health Center,” the President said.
“[Pinatutunayan] lamang [ng] lahat na ito ang ating determinasyon na makapagbigay ng dekalidad na serbisyong pangkalusugan sa bawat residente ng Dumaguete at ang mga karatig-pook,” he added.
Through the infrastructure projects, the Chief Executive reaffirmed that it will give new hope and opportunities to the people in Dumaguete, Negros Oriental.
