President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. finally arrived at the Jakarta Convention Center, Indonesia, on Tuesday morning for the 43rd ASEAN Summit.
Marcos, who is accompanied by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and other heads of state was welcomed by the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, and his wife, Iriana Widodo, as they arrived at the event.
The President will remain in Indonesia until Thursday in order to take part in the major ASEAN gatherings and other associated summits.
Marcos arrived on Monday night in Jakarta.
The turnover of the ASEAN leadership from Indonesia to Laos will mark the conclusion of the 43rd ASEAN Summit on September 7.
Meanwhile, Marcos promised Filipinos that he would continue to advance Philippine interests at the summit before he left the country.
